For 3 ½ hours, you were transported back in time.Probably the hottest tour of the summer arrived at the TD Garden: “The Package Tour.” The entire Garden, nearly female-dominated, was rocking it old school to New Kids On The Block, Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees. For 3 ½ hours, you were transported back in time as they sang their hit songs from the 80’s and 90’s.
Boyz II Men opened the show and proved they are still superstars especially when closing their set with “Motownphilly,” which had the entire audience dancing and singing in the aisles. Taking the stage immediately after Boyz II Men was 98 Degrees.
The temperature started to rise when Nick, Jeff, Drew, and Justin started belting out their famous tunes. Although most of their songs are ballads, they were still able to keep the crowd entertained. They belted out all their favorites from “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche) to their latest single, “Microphone.”NKOTB sure know how to throw a party. After a 15 minute intermission, the boys of Boston took the stage opening with “We Own Tonight,” the new song from their new album. Yes, they may be a little older, fatter and have thinning hair, but NKOTB sure know how to throw a party. Singing the songs that made them famous while allowing each member to shine was definitely a concert that most will remember for a long time.
This was definitely a dream-come-true for any 90’s girl who wants to dance, sing, and get mesmerized by the boys who were probably plastered all over their bedroom walls.
