Boston.com will host three separate mayoral debates during the first two full weeks of August in preparation for the September 24 primary and the November 5 election.
The first is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7 at 7 p.m. and will feature City Councilor Rob Consalvo, City Councilor Mike Ross, and State Representative Martin “Marty” Walsh. The second and third debates will occur the following week on Wednesday, August 14 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively. District Attorney Dan Conley and City Councilor John Connolly will meet attendees at the former, whereas the latter will include City Councilor Felix Arroyo, former School Committeeman John Barros, Touch 106.1 Co-founder Charles Clemons, former State Representative Charlotte Golar Richie, and Codman Square Health Center Co-founder Bill Walczak.
The debates’ Eventbrite page describes “Boston.comment” as “a series of discussions where the candidates talk about the issues you care about most.” Organizers encourage attendees and non-participants alike to use or follow the hash tag #LabDebates on various social media platforms. Otherwise, those in attendance can expect an event akin to the town hall-style meetings popularized by recent state and federal elections.
Tickets are free via the Eventbrite page. Consult aforementioned website for further information.
