Be prepared to be hypnotized by comic hypnotist Frank Santos Jr. as he brings his mind bending antics to the Wilbur Theatre on May 23rd.
SD: How did you get started as a Hypnotist?
FS: I have been watching and learning from my father since I was four years old. Although I did learn a lot from him, I did receive my degree in school.
SD: How would you define a “Comedian Hypnotist?”
FS: It’s all about having fun on stage.
SD: What is the funniest thing you’ve seen happen while someone was hypnotized?
FS: I told a guy that his penis was singing to him and it was singing “Stroke Me, Stroke Me.” I stopped it before it went too far. When we turn someone into a singer, they become that artist and what makes it even better to watch is that their singing voice is usually horrible.
SD: Is there a better suited personality type for a volunteer?
FS: Yes! Usually the more intelligent the person is the better focused and concentrated they can be. To be hypnotized you really need to focus on my voice. I also look for someone who is outgoing and life of the party. The fun thing about someone being hypnotized is they become the person they have always wanted to be.
SD: What can the audience to see at your show?
FS: It is a fun and fast paced show that is R-rated. I like to think of myself as the producer/director of the show and the participators (audience members) are the stars. Without them it wouldn’t be funny! They make the show. No show is ever the same and that is what makes it great fun.
