This week marks the official start of the 2014-15 TV season. Each day this week I’ll be summarizing that night’s new and returning shows. Season premieres of returning shows tend to be somewhat staggered; not all are coming back this week. And just as a reminder, the CW waits until October to launch both its new and returning shows.
How to Get Away with Murder (10-11 pm, ABC)
Executive-produced by Shonda Rhimes but created by Pete Nowalk, HTGAWM stars Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, a Philadelphia law professor whose students may be involved in a murder conspiracy.
Grey’s Anatomy (8-9 pm, ABC)
Scandal (9-10 pm, ABC)
With the addition of the above show, Thursdays are now a solid Shonda Rhimes rock block on ABC.
Bones (8-9 pm, FOX)
This is still on?
The Biggest Loser (8-10 pm, NBC)
All of this season’s contestants are former athletes.
Parenthood (10-11 pm, NBC)
The sixth and final season of the modestly-rated but acclaimed drama begins tonight.
